Guest Blogger Feature with Lydia
We gave the beautiful Lydia from Fashion in Flux a little Oh My Love challenge. Rocking one of our favourites the Sophia Lurex High Low Dress Lydia styles this for the day and for the evening....
I love trying out new ways to wear the same piece, so I was definitely up for an Oh My Love styling challenge! This dress is a lovely slouchy material, making it perfect for a daytime outfit. The evening outfit wasn’t too difficult, I think you can pop most pieces with a pair of heels & some glitzy jewellery and you’re good to go!
The dress has a bit of a sparkle to it, meaning it can be easily transformed into a casual going out dress. It’s the ‘I look like I haven’t tried too hard, but really I have made quite an effort’ sort of look. Simple, chunky heels mean you can go all out with the accessories. I added a statement necklace, a few bracelets and lots of rings.
The daytime outfit for me is all about learning. I add what I need depending on the weather! I decided to go for my leather jacket as I think that’s a wardrobe staple. The belt is just another way to wear this dress. To me, it makes it much more casual and gives you a bit more of a waist.

We are getting all a fluster in the Oh My Love office today thinking about Valentines day. We have been receiving lots of tweets from our Oh My Love fans with their celeb crushes. Keep them coming please girls! We also asked a few of our lovely team which celebrity they hold close to their hearts.

London fashion week have literally been draping their catwalk models in gold. Gold jewellery, gold nails and even gold tattoos! Here is a gorgeous model flashing an amazing gold leaf tatt at the L'Wren Scott party this fashion week. The American designer is obsessed with gold and anything representing Klimt's famous kiss painting. She even adorned her shoes and clothes with the precious metal.
' I cant afford' gold i hear you say. But gold leaf is very affordable now and so versatile.
Such a glam look that is so easy to pull off!
Let's see what we can rustle up....
1: Grab a bold nail colour. Turquoise is amazing but any colour goes with gold.
2: Paint those babies!
3: Cut triangles out of gold leaf
4: Use a wet cotton bud to pick up the gold leaf
5: Dont let the paint dry!
6: Place the gold leaf on the nail
7: Use a nail file to shave off the excess gold leaf
8: Seal the deal with clear nail varnish
Voila! Good time gold x

Here with our model Gaby i used a red pencil to slightly exaggerate her lipline. You need to make sure the lip liner is the exact same colour as your lipstick. This will be easy with red as there are so many amazing lipsticks out there. I used YSL Rouge volupte in red temptation on Gaby..
Team these pillow perfect lips with a simple black flicked eye liner for this fail safe sex kitten look.
Look to Dita Von Teese for inspiration.
Finish the look off with these amazing nails that we spotted on Kelly Osbourne...

London Fashion Week....
We are three days into fashion week already and the designers are really pulling some eye watering outfits out of the bag. Its such an exciting time for British fashion at the moment and to be able to get that small glimpse into the future fashionista is simply mind-blowing!!! ![]()
My favourite designers to showcase so far has to be the sassy Jena.Theo. They really got my attention with their mouth watering pop of vibrant colours and prints, mirroring our brand new Oh My Love Spring/Summer 2013 collection that is hitting the shops now.
Not forgetting the inimitable design label PPQ. They showcased an incredible feast for the eyes with their revolutionary feminine cut out shapes and Picasso style prints. Love their tropical Splash of Canary yellow, orange and lime! Get our version here @ohmylovelondon
This week we are hitting London fashion week to headhunt budding Oh My Love models to be. We are looking for confident and fun girls to represent us. We don't just pick girls for their beauty but they also have to be super cool too.
